Nigeria Elections 2015:INEC fixes April 25 for governorship election rerun in Imo State

INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in Imo state, Gabriel Ada, said the governorship election will hold in 256 polling units across 23 local government areas of the state.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed Saturday April 25 for the rerun of the governorship elections in Imo state.
INEC Returning Officer for the governorship election in the State,  Prof. Ibidapo Obe had declared  the  results of Imo state April 11 governorship  election inconclusive following electoral malpractices in some local government areas.

Speaking to news on Wednesday, April 15, at the INEC headquarters in the state capital, Owerri, INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Gabriel Ada, will hold in 256 polling units across 23 local government areas.
Ada added that six local government areas were declared inconclusive while results from 21 other local government areas were announced in the April 11 House of Assembly election.
However, below is the summary of the April 11 Imo governorship election results, as given by INEC after counting and collation on Sunday, April 12.
APC: 385,671
PDP: 306,142
Margin of win: 79,529
Cancelled Votes: 144,715
Verdict: Election is Inconclusive.
